Broken and repaired. Repaired and broken.Hana was born in a family of traditional roofrepair craftsmen, so using and repairing things hasalways come natural to her. The collection speaksabout her Japanese roots with outfits made ofeveryday stuff such as paper, clay and old fabrics.She applies “Urushi” on her garments, a traditionalJapanese finishing technique that solidifiesmaterials adding a mystical gloss on the surface.She also references “Kintsugi”, the Japanese artof repairing broken pottery by using Urushi andgold dust.
